Thai vowels and their meanings
In the image below, the Thai vowels are in red, as most cannot be written without consonantsThey are represented with a silent consonant the o aang "อ"in black.

The latest vowels in the list are vowels that do not need consonant and are therefore written in black without red colour.
Note: In the table below, long vowels are indicated in the bracketed (phonetic) part followed by a colon (:).
a = a and a: = aa
If you print the table you can add an extra letter yourself, e.g. for the 1st line it should read :
a; a; aa; i; ii; eu; euu
In Thai, vowel is said sala and when you recite the vowels, you say:
Sala a ; sala a ; sala aa ; sala i ; sala ii…
