The Ancient City Park (Muang Boran) gathers in one place, reproductions of the most beautiful monuments of Thailand as well as typical villages, floating market, temples, palaces…

Presentation of Ancient City Park

Ancient City (Muang Boran) is located 30 km south of Bangkok, 1 hour by taxi, in Samut Prakan province.

The project was initiated on an idea of the Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant, who is also the initiator of the construction of the Sanctuary of the truth in Pattaya.

This park allows you to visit the kingdom from north to south in one day; it presents reproductions of the most beautiful ancient monuments of the country, classified by regions, on an area of 128 hectares.

This ancient city is an open door to the heritage of Thai culture; it creates an atmosphere that allows visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of Thai history, cultures, religions, arts, and customs from its origins to the present day.

All regions are presented, as well as the typical way of life of its inhabitants.

In addition to reproductions of hundreds of existing monuments, such as temples, palaces with their wall paintings and sculptures, you will see villages with traditional houses, markets, museum pavilions as well as explanations on construction techniques and tools of daily life.
