10:09-12:00 Royal Purification: The Royal Purification, or 'Song Muratha Bhisek' ceremony, is held at the royal residence of Chakrabat Biman.
"Muratha Bhisek" refers to the act of pouring holy water on the king's head, also known as ablution.
This is followed by the anointing ceremony at the Baisal Daksin Throne Hall.
His Majesty the King then goes to the throne of Bhadrapitha and sits under the nine-tiered royal umbrella, where the Brahmin leader presents him with the golden royal plaque of the official title of Majesty, the royal insignia, the ancient and auspicious orders, and the arms of sovereignty.
After the coronation and investiture ceremony, Her Majesty presents the first Royal Commandment.
14h00 His Majesty the King grants a grand audience to members of the Royal Family, the Privy Council and Cabinet, and senior officials gathered to offer their best wishes to His Majesty at Amarindra Vinicchaya Throne Hall.
16h00 His Majesty visits the Temple of the Emerald Buddha to proclaim himself the Royal Patron of Buddhism.
1.19-8.30pm Assumption Ceremony: The Assumption Ceremony of the Royal Residence takes place at the Royal Residence Chakrabat Biman.
The purpose of the ceremony is to symbolically occupy the royal residence and hold a "house warming".
