The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival will take place on 25 and 26 November on Pattaya Beach, an event not to be missed if you are in Thailand.
According to the mayor of PattayaThe festival will have more than 600 street stalls selling all kinds of items.
Fireworks teams from Belgium, Canada, Malaysia and the Philippines will be present.
The mayor believes that the festival will certainly boost the economy, as all the rooms in Pattaya, especially those on the seafront, have been almost fully booked.
Admission is free, and no less than 100,000 spectators are expected in the city!
Beach Road will be closed to traffic from around 5pm on both days of the festival, and major traffic delays are expected in the city.
If the estimates come true, the festival will be the biggest event in Pattaya since pre-Covid times.
The festival was held in 2020 and 2021, but fewer people were able to come due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
But now, Pattaya city officials expect the festival to return in full force.
The festival organisers say they plan to pull out all the stops this year with concerts and cultural activities, among other things.
In March this year, the International Association of Asian Festivals and Events named the festival as one of the three "leading maritime tourism festivals in Asia".
The Pattaya city manager said Nov. 17 that nearly 20 countries participated in the international fireworks competition.
The festival was originally organised to celebrate the reign of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The mayor said the city of Pattaya will continue to improve the festival, as well as other events in Pattaya, so that they can also receive this honour next year.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes it as one of the "most spectacular and exciting events in Pattaya."
After Thailand's long slump, the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival is attracting tourists again.
