The Chiang Mai Zoo is a zoological park with more than 7,000 animals, including a famous pair of pandas donated to Thailand by Chinese diplomacy for ten years (2004-2014).
The zoo was founded in 1952 by a missionary from the United States and covers 85 ha2.

Practical information
The Zoo is open from : 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day of the week.
Entrance fee
For Thai people :
- 50 Baht per adult
- 30 baht for students
- 10 baht for children - students of vocational training certificates
- 30 baht for teachers, soldiers, police (with uniform)
- Free for seniors (60 years or older), disabled persons, monks
For foreigners :
- 100 baht for adults
- 50 baht for children
