In the Miss Grand Thailand beauty pageant, the contestants have to parade in a costume representing their province, and this part of the pageant is almost as important as the beauty pageant itself.
This year it is a dress inspired by the Emerald Buddha temple in Bangkok which won the award for best national costume.

Miss Grand Bangkok, Nutsuda "Bambam" Termjai, won the 100,000 baht prize at the Miss Grand Thailand final on Saturday night for turning one of the capital's main tourist sites into clothing.
Bambam, 20, a third-year student at Sripatum University, stood out among the 77 contestants, each representing Thai provinces, by literally wearing Wat Phra Kaew at the "national costume" night of the parade held on Wednesday night.
A gold crown completed his extravagant costume.
"I wanted to present the dress to foreigners, so I chose the Emerald Buddha Temple to represent the capital, which is already well known to tourists," said designer Art Akarach.
Miss Grand Nakhon Phanom, Arayha Suparurk, won the Miss Grand Thailand contest.
Bambam's dress also won over the hearts of fans, with over 28,000 likes and 4,000 shares on Facebook.
Likes and shares on the competition's Facebook page were used to determine ten of the 20 finalists in the competition.
The Emerald Buddha Temple represents the importance of Buddhism as a "precious treasure of the nation" that "harmonises the customs of each region into one unit", according to a description posted on the show's Facebook page.
The finalists were the Pad Mee Korat from Miss Grand Nakhon Ratchasima, the carp from Kanchanaburi, the Mangosteen Mountain Queen from Nakhon Sri Thammarat and the Nang Yai shadow pieces from Ratchaburi.
The finalists received 30,000 baht each.
