The Thai government has launched the online platform "Thai Chana" to maintain the country's effectiveness in controlling COVID-19, following the approval of the second phase of easing restrictions.
The online platform "Thai Chana", which means "Thai people will win", is intended to facilitate the monitoring of clients for disease control and help prevent a second wave of COVID-19.
People who come into close contact with infected people in the shops at the same time will be asked to undergo tests.

How does Thai Chana work?
Shop owners must register online at thaichana.com and provide details including contact information, opening hours and footfall limits, as well as complete a COVID-19 control questionnaire.
Once the registration is approved, they will receive a QR code that will be placed in front of their premises so that customers can check in and out of the shop.
Customers, after downloading the application, then use their mobile phones to scan the code to check whether the targeted shop and restaurant can accommodate more customers within the social distancing rules.
Customers can also use the application to report to the government whether the shops they have visited have followed the COVID-19 control measures.
Thai Chana and privacy
According to the Ministry of Economy and Digital Society, only the disease control department of the Ministry of Public Health will have access to customers' personal information and only for the purpose of disease control.
