The event took place in north-eastern Thailand, where 45-year-old Apichat Cheautong had come to report an accident when suddenly a snake entered the police station, moved towards him and attacked him.
Apichat then defended himself with his legs and finally managed to capture the snake by the head and tail.
He then went to report it to the police, who, as you can see in the video, were very concerned and asked him to go and release it into the wild.
Looking at the scene, you think he was lucky to be in trousers and shoes, because in shorts and flip-flops he would have been bitten, but in fact he was, the snake is said to be a rat snake or Elaphe, a harmless, non-venomous species.
